Horse Handicapping: Whale Hunt Part 2: Wagering

In my last blog post I spoke about what it takes when horse handicapping to compete against the whales these days. I suggested that you work at improving your contender process, concentrating on getting as many winners at 7/2 and above as possible. If you missed that post, please CLICK HERE.

Today I will speak about how to play those contenders.

As I said in my previous post, playing what appears to be the overlaid horse often puts you on the whales cast-offs. This means that you will constantly be opposing them on a head-to-head basis, a battle you will not likely win. Their pencil is simply sharper than yours.

The alternative is to stop worrying about who will win the race and concentrate your efforts upon who can win the race at a price. If you are doing a good job of contender selection the winners will take care of themselves.

So, now you have selected these for wonderful contenders. What is next?

The next step is to "grade" the race. We are not going to make this complicated. It is a simple A, B, C, D, F system. I’ll tell you about it in this 16-minute video.
