The Dynamic Bayesian Pickmaster
Watch as Dave Schwartz teaches users of the HorseStreet Handicapper software advanced techniques.

PickMaster | The PickMaster is an HSH tool that allows the user to select several hundred ranking factors and determine which factors perform the best against a particular "Filter" (i.e. set of race characteristics). "Best" can be defined by the user.
Example: "Show me the factors that have returned the highest $Net in the top 2 rank positions." |
Filter | A Filter is a template-based set of variables that allow a user to filter through past races in the database.
Example: "I want the last 100 races at Santa Anita, 6fur dirt, fast track, older males, non-maiden, on a Thursday in January." |
Dynamic | A Dynamic Filter is a filter that is designed to create other filter. Using the above example as a base: "I want the last 100 races at [Today's Track], [This Race Dist and Surface], [This Race's Track Condition], [This Race's Age & Sex], [This Race's Type], on [This Race's day-of-week], in [This Race's month-of-year].

Bayesian | This video shows how to apply simplistic Bayesian Analysis to the handicapping process. Absolutely no math is needed by the user! |
